He has this year and 2 more years to get us a flag. That's the mission. That's the objective. If we think that he has the ability to do that and Sam Power has orchestrated a list that is capable of fulfilling that, shouldn't we be looking at the next 3 years full of optimism and excitement? I reckon we can do it THIS year but now that he has been re-signed, we need to look at the bigger picture: we're at the start of a new "blend" (as Bevo loves to say), a "rebuild" (as others like to say), we need to have patience as the club sees out this new journey.

Be demanding. Be strong. But 2025 isn't the one last hurrah for Bevo we might have thought it was, it's now the start of the renewal of his plan to continue to build and strengthen this team to win on that final day in September.
I guess that's what I'm saying. While not impossible to pinch one this year if our fortunes turn, we stay injury free and some critical defensive players (i.e. Jones, Bramble, JJ and even Duryea) can regain some form I feel we're just too far off the mark in either outside talent or development to be able to cover for our weaknesses.

If we can win a final this year, change the mix for the better along the way and have a decent crack the coming two years then it's aligned with the higher point of what I expect of our potential.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Every year throws up challenges. We are potentially at another crossroads given our talent vs inability to beat good teams.

It's the right decision to sign him on. If things don't improve vs the better sides in 2025, I do wonder what levers can be pulled.

Happy he has re-signed. He has a very good list to work with that is still missing a couple of key pieces, however he has a list that should be top 6 and pushing top 4. We are a rung behind a few others but can still work into the season and contend. My biggest knock on Bevo is the inability to get the team up in close games.

Based on previous years we’re going to need a minimum of 15 wins to make top 4, but most probably 16.

How confident are you that we can finish the year with a 9-2 or 10-1 win/loss streak?

Well I am certain we are good enough for 9-2 at a minimum and even 11-0 is not impossible.

On our remaining fixture the 2 challenging games are Adelaide at Docklands and Brisbane in Brisbane. Any other loss would be more than disappointing.

Hmm -- no way I'm that confident. The Demons are playing some really good footy at the moment and will be very hard to beat at the G. Likewise Sydney in Sydney, they are no pushover there.

I have no expectation of making the top 4. I do however expect a home final from 6th v the Hawks at 7th ha.

I probably glossed over Melbourne who have certainly shown improvement and it is at the G. We certainly need to win but a danger game.

I really would be devastated if we lose the Sydney game. We are simply better than the 2025 version of Sydney and I don't see Dean Cox showing any tactical nous that could upset us.

We turn up to play and we can beat anyone/everyone. Their are weaknesses in our team, but every team has weaknesses.

I am certainly not ready to hand the flag to Collingwood or anyone else when we almost half the home and away still to run.

We beat Sydney in Sydney last year very comfortably, so no reason we can't this year.

We were never going to win last Thursday. It was very predictable and I'm sure you felt it too. It has been a problem with us for many years.

I'm worried about this week, how is 11-0 possible?

It is possible but you may consider it improbable

As previously stated we are good enough to beat anyone and that means every game is winnable.

We have demonstrated we aren’t good enough to beat everyone. Suddenly we are going to start beaten sides in the 8 ?

Yep the proof is in past results. Loving the optismism here but it's through red, white and blue glasses. No idea where its coming from though.

I'm not convinced we win this week.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
