We haven't been afraid to take mature age players under Dalrymple. Adams being a recent example.

Would we use one of our 1st 2 picks on him? I guess the question is, is he good enough to be in our best 22? I would expect that using a high pick on a 23yo.

I would only use a pick in the 30s if we had one.

It would be hard to justify us picking him at 16 and while I don't doubt he could play senior footy with us next year it would be a surprise if we selected him.

I read an article that had both West Coast (naturally) and Geelong showing interest in him in the 2nd round. To me Brisbane should nearly roll the dice with him.

No reaching for me. A top 10 & late first rounder are great picks. No need to reach looking at the talent available.

Kicking skills are 1, 2 and 3 for me at the moment. We just can't keep bringing well meaning ball butcherers onto the list. New players have to be able to at least hit a target I reckon.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I think this will be one of the more interesting drafts for a while. There's a wide range of views from the top to the middle. And no Emma Quayle to cut to the chase before hand. I wonder if Twomey can fill her shoes in the next 2.5 weeks.

I'm a big fan of Hunter Clark and hope he is still around the mark at pick 16. I like his all round skill set.

GVGjr - where did the Inside Footy Draft edition have him?

Pick 12 going to Adelaide. I'd like to think he would be available at 16 but I doubt it. You never know though

I might have missed it. Who did they have us taking 9 & 16?

Would we take Coffield one spot aghead of Fogarty? I get the idea that Dal really likes Fogarty because he has barely mentioned him.

                            I wouldn't but I rate Coffield.

I'm quite bullish on most of the players mentioned in the top 20 but for some reason I have some doubts on Higgins for us and he had an outstanding season.
There is also another 4 or 5 players I mentioned the other day as top '20 disuptors' I'd be happy to consider at pick 16.

For a draft that is given a lot of bad press I think it's a lot deeper than many in the media seem to think.
To me it's a real shame we don't have a pick in the 2nd round.
