Re: 2017 Draft Watch
I must be the only person who is cool on Clark. Dal seems to favour guys who show rapid improvement in their u18 year, Clark seems to have been a potential no 1 at the start of the year and has slid backwards.
Every single player we're linked to has serious deficiencies, moreso than any other first round I can remember. Murphy's speed worries me, Coffield hasn't shown he can transition into the midfield, Higgins looks a natural footballer but plays to the limit of his athleticism, can Cerra get back after two knee recos? etcWestern Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Re: 2017 Draft Watch
I think Bonar would great. Could be anything and he would add a different dimension to the midfield with his power and athleticism. I quite like Darcy Fogarty as well. Both of those would give us another big body and either one could be the best player in the draft.
I'm probably hoping for one of Coffield, Brayshaw or Cerra to slide to us first and foremost though. Those 3 are probably a bit less risky.Comment

Re: 2017 Draft Watch
The 'beauty' of pick nine is that you don't have to agonise quite as much. It will reveal itself.
On that note, however, I'm hoping more of an 'X' factor player falls into place as a no-brainer to grab. Although Jake was ultimately a washout, the "what if" factor about him did add a bit of icing to the proposition of fronting up to see us play. Despite being a knob, he did add a bit of "what if today's the day?" to the equation.
We've got sufficient good, solid citizens. I'd like some X-factor.Comment

Interesting article on Coffield. Talks about him being a close mate of Patrick Lipinski and a big Dogs fan (as we know). Apparently has spoken to several clubs, has been told needs to improve tackling.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment
