Will he make it to our pick? Especially now we are behind the saints for two picks. I can see them going for someone like Stephenson. Hopefully they trade out of at least one of the picks

Unlucky to have the Saints finish below us cost us two spots! The saints lack a bit of X factor like the dogs, if they go to the draft with both picks I wouldn't be surprised that they are after similar types.

Cost us 1 spot. Their other pick was from Hawks and tied to their position not the Saints.

Aiden Bonar from Dandenong is rising up the charts. Theres a bit of excitement brewing. Prior to doing his ACL he was rated the Stingrays best player in his age group, ahead of the highly rated Davies-Uniacke.

          He's a 190cm forward/midfield prospect.

I wonder if we are interested?

Be stiff not to be picked up.

Probably be no good as a backman he would announce he is coming just before he tackles you.

I've seen him the last couple of weeks, he's been OK without being a star. He has some good patches with his footy though

A couple of games today at Vic Park. Oakleigh vs Northern first up. Stingrays vs Eastern for the 2nd game.

Good day to watch the footy.

Cracking contest between the Stingrays and Eastern.
Plenty of draft hopefuls performing well.

We also tend to draft in clusters of similar sized and similar positions so it wouldn't surprise me if we landed some smaller players this year especially after the land of the giants effort last year.
Players Lachlan Fogarty and Gryan Miers shouldn't be ignored because of their height.
I hope we don't do the cluster thing again. Have never been a fan. I prefer a more balanced approached with a spread of player types.

Having said that we need speed, good kickers & goal kickers. Thats shouldn't be too hard!!!!

If we draft more mid sized plodders I'll scream.

Speaking of midgets the one I would look at is Spargo but only with a mid to late pick (ie 39) I'd prefer to use the earlier picks on bigger guys if we can get them.

I wonder if we might consider natural forwards like Ryan or Sambono?

I like that. Another Spargo at the doggies. His grandfather Bob, as well as Bob's brother Ricky, played for us.Bob played in the 1961 Grand Final and was a terrific player for our Club.

Fantastic day for TAC footy at the cattery today. Some of the better credentialed players have stood up so far and one or two have fallen off the pace a bit. A lot more footy to be played

Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?
