Foot bone, then ACL, then follow up surgery on the same knee.

He's riskier than just a regular ACL injury sufferer. I actually hope we don't get him.

Mitch Wallis apparently invited by the club to hand out jumpers at the draft.

So are you saying we are drafting someone with one-pace and pure inside mid but will have to play forward for his whole career with us?

                Am I saying? No.

The club on the other hand!

                  Re: 2024 Draft Watch

Unbelievably Richmond, North, Carlton and even Adelaide are unlikely to bid on Ashcroft.
No good crying about Brisbane having a strong list if clubs aren't going to make them pay full book value for top end talent.

There is zero chance Brisbane don't match any bid, even at 1. I can understand not bidding at pick 1 but it makes no sense not to at pick 2 onwards.

Yep, I wonder why some clubs aren't prepared to make them cough up.
I agree, Richmond shouldn't bid on him but the others certainly should.

There will have to be a full inquiry at some point into the backroom dealings going on with the bidding system. There is no way that Will Ashcroft wasn't the top talent in his draft. Every man and his dog had him going number one. But come draft night, with Brisbane short on draft points, GWS miraculously doesn't bid on him.

So we’re trading up for pick 27. Good news.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Clubs wanting to keep good relationships for future drafts/trades.

                            It's a broken system.

Just a bit of a prediction

We take Hugh Davis with #29. West Coast are picking next and might have been interested in another local boy
We take Christian Moreas with #31. Hawks are supposed to be interested and we have jumped ahead of them

Could we trade a F1 and try and secure a 2nd round? (something to balance it out coming back)

Then really late in the draft Hugh Boxshall, Will Hayes and Blake Leidler if they are available
                              Perhaps a ruckman?

What even is Ashcroft Jr as a player? He's certainly more forward than mid...but he still should have been bid on just to make them pay for it...just like there should have been bids on Lombard, Kako and omg MARSHALL who lasted till 25...

                                It is a joke.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.
