Was he the player who's dad tried to scare clubs out of drafting him? In particular interstate clubs and clubs like north and the bulldogs?

That's him, and he's shit. Slow, fumbly, and no hurt factor. The AFL world is a lot tougher than he was expecting when him and his Dad were tampering with the draft to try to get to the cub they barrack for.

I read in the paper that he would unretire if Hird wasn't the coach anymore. Maybe after they opted not to sack Hird he has thought bugger it and decided to play somewhere else.

I reckon our best chance of Carlisle leaving is if Bomber is coach next year to be honest. I'm not sure Bomber and Jake are the best of mates. We've been putting the pressure on to execute the get out clause - as a few other clubs have.

I heard the same rumour but its quite strange as Carlisle had his breakout year under bomber.

They claim Greewood is an in and under and they have plenty of players for that, whereas Higgins is a good finisher. He is expected to play forward and rotate in the midfield.
