Just home from seeing opening night of AMPLIFIED : THE EXQUISITE ROCK AND RAGE OF CHRISSY AMPHLETT written & performed by Sheridan Harbridge (co-creator of “my brilliant career” musical). Loved it, lots of funny and sad stories about Chrissy Amphlett & singing and band were great.

Friday show sold out. Tomorrow night Doggies playing so unfortunately no chance for Chrissy Amphlett fans to go to remaining 2 nights. However I think it might be performed again sometime (standing ovation indicates they’ve got a potential hit show).

Looks like Rising Festival has scheduled extra shows this weekend & I think they’ve already sold out. It looks like final additional show this Monday still has tix. Sorry, for some reason unable to copy link. Search on title in caps above & you’ll find it though.

It’s snuck up on me because life is spent on the crest of the shitwave, but I’m going to see The Hives tomorrow night. Their recent late career stuff has been surprisingly solid to excellent.

Hands down one of the best shows I’ve been to and the best I’ve seen them play. If you’ve got the time and inclination go and see them Sunday night.

Followed by a live screening of the movie.

Pulp announces free show in Adelaide on 27 February as part of the Adelaide festival, and will be touring around it. From what I can see from their schedule they're in Manila up to 18 Feb and then back there on 4 March.......

Jeemak is in Japan from 21 February for nine days FFS!!!!! What are the chances!

Although taking another look I don't think the Manila dates I thought I saw (plenty holiday happy hour cocktails deep) are actually a thing.......
