Not on TV, I finally caught up with MTC play 37 (AFL theme) yesterday evening (return Melbourne season from early 2024, after touring some other states). Thought it was good, quite thought provoking too. Couldn’t help but think of Marra as the lead actor is a good looking, elegant indigenous lad. The way the Bangarra dance company folks helped out with choreography to recreate taking a speccy was remarkably beautiful and effective.

    Our day will come
    And we'll have everything.
    We'll share the joy
    Just like '54 again.

I highly recommend the French series "The Bureau" which this show is based on. Outstanding TV.

Does this make me an influencer? When do companies start paying me?

I've got a few episodes to go and am still enjoying it. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on who the most sympathetic character is.

Well, I was influenced, but was also looking for something different to watch beyond the American made stuff I'd been consuming.

I'm up to episode two of the second season. The most sympathetic character is the line manager at the paper Maruyama-san (who will no doubt disappoint me) and her mentally ill brother. So, I would say the mentally ill brother of Maruyama-san is the most sympathetic character on a show full of compromised characters.

I've watched 2x episodes mate...not sure I'll watch any more. Have you liked it??

I was half watching whilst doing some guitar practice and found it wasn't really grabbing my attention. I didn't think it was bad - it was just kind of 'there'.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I am waiting for all the episodes to drop. Disappointing you are not liking it.

In our house at the moment, it is MAFS, then I watch Homicide life on the street for the first time and then watch an episode of Mr.Inbetween as a nightcap!

I am enjoying it, but what I am saying it is not up with the best. Good entertainment though.

Just noticed TodayTix are offering discount tickets from $35 to $55 for this play. I’d recommend it to woofers (disclosure: title is reference to Adam Goodes jumper number, although it’s fiction and set in a country town).

We’re in middle of season 3 of homicide on the streets (sbs). IMO not as good as season 1, at this stage still watchable. Got a hunch the TV network said let’s make it more appealing to masses. Way more episodes from season 2 onwards, which probably had a negative impact on script quality.

Interested to hear woofer views of those that have seen seasons 1 to 6 (I understand that last season 7 jumped the shark). Do seasons progressively become more commercial/ formulaic or is it a reasonable standard throughout?
