If that happens, I will definitely question if I am in the Dark matter universe.

Re: What are you watching at the moment

Anyone seeing anything cool at MIFF?

I saw The Shrouds last Sunday, a kinda undercooked but still pretty engaging David Cronenberg I guess noir-ish body horror about a grieving cemetery owner. Had like 10 people walk out so that’s how you know it’s good.

Got a few more coming up next week that I don’t know a ton about and only bought tickets to on the basis of Ctrl+Fing “thriller”.

My daughters friend is involved with the production of Ellis Park, playing on the 24th.

Can recommend Under The Bridge on Disney.

Watched the first thee episodes of S2 of Rings of Power.

More action than a lot of the first season, but still up its own arse a fair bit. Will persevere in the hope it improves.

Didn't mind the first few episodes - in my usual style I had quit well before the end...the missus kept telling me it was good but it got so slow.

I'm a fan of Carl Hiaasen (or I was 20 years ago) and as a result am enjoying Bad Monkey on Apple. I kinda wish they explained a bit better what the scam was with the writing prescriptions for electric wheel chairs 'cos it seems completely off the map crazy but I am enjoying it.

Vince Vaughn can be a lot to take but seems to fit the character.
Zac Braff has been great in his role as a doctor with a conscience (but who has done some dodgey stuff) and the other supporting actors - Jon Ortiz, Michelle Monaghan and Rob Delaney - are awesome. There's also an actor called Jodie Turner-Smith who plays the Dragon Queen aka Caribbean Voodoo Priest who is clearly having a lot of fun...

Only one episode per week which kind of fits my lack of commitment to these things.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Watched bugger all the past 24 hours, no power from the early hours on Monday morning until 9:30pm last night. No phone reception, no internet. At least everything is still intact at home, others haven't been as fortunate.

That is awful, Gippsland has really copped it. Hopefully back on soon.

Finally got around to The Boys S4. It has jumped the shark.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Re: What are you watching at the moment

Have tried watching a few shows lately.

Could not finish S1 of Tulsa King. I had been watching on and off and a particular scene late in S1 made me say, nope, I am out.

Rewatching S1 of The Old Man in preparation for S2.

Bad Monkey starring Vince Vaughan basically being Vince Vaughan is not too bad. One episode to go.

Binged S3 of Industry. Oh My that show does not let you down. It is what Succession wants to be when it grows up.

Now about to rewatch S3 of Slow Horses in preparation for S4.

Will give The Penguin a go, but a bit worried that my main man Colin Farrell may have gone a step too far.

Apple+ have some great tv shows but for some reason they cannot make a movie to save their life.

Great book. But if you've read it, the TV show is just so 'WRONG'...the main character should be a lean, wirey bloke who is in shape and good to go...it's like Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher...I mean, per-lease. Plus, they took what is an awesome story and turned it into a confusing mess...and then s2 seems to want to double down on the story they already ruined...sorry - OUT.

Somehow I've held on and there is just one week to go. To suggest there are a LOT of loose ends to tie up in 45 minutes though is understating it. Why the whole Bonnie sub-plot needs to be there at all I really wonder.
