I just got tricked by Paramount (got the 7-day free trial thinking there were 8x episodes only there are 10 so now I'm gonna have to pay actual money) and it is the best thing I've seen in ages...

It's just an original story. Loving it.
Yep. Loving it.. I watched the first six episodes in two days over the Christmas period thinking all episodes where out. Then realised only seven were out. Held off episode seven until episode eight dropped. I am saving episode nine for when episode ten drops. Trying to find something of similar genre but no luck.

But, not all is lost, found time and brain capacity to start Shogun. Just finished episode six.

It's on the to do list.
Is there anything else on Paramount worth watching at the moment so I can maximise it when I join?

Has there been any good sports movies or shows of late?

By the way, I don't know how I missed it years ago but I've been watching the Worst week of my life of late and while it's frequently a cringe I'm really enjoying it.

I watched 'Face Off' the NHL behind the scenes thing (I've probably mentioned this already so apologies).

Anyway - I thought it put the QB1/Receiver/Starting 5 etc guff to shame - loved it, invested...I loved the NHL when I was able to attend games in the states but had given up watching due to my issues trying to follow the puck...but now I watch a couple of games each week and it has basically replaced my NBA consumption...20-minutes to watch the NHL = 20-minutes of game time whereas 20-minutes to watch the NBA = 3x timeouts, 4x tv timeouts, 4x video reviews and 17 free- throws...

Anyway - I'm back watching the NHL and it's all because of the doc-series.

As for what else is on Paramount? Not sure really - Missus wants to watch 'The Agency' but she loves all that stuff and I just feel like every one of those shows is something I've seen before....I mean, I spose I watched 5 or 6 episodes of Day of the Jackal but ultimately that was just the same re-cycled stuff and I gave up before the end. Or rather, just made a sub-conscious decision that I wasn't gonna watch it any more. To be honest, that's why the last season of Slow Horses was such a surprise as it was actually an engaging version of a show I've seen before.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

We have been watching Bad Sisters. Mrs Bad likes it but I can take it or leave it. Season 1 was above average, and they have tried to extend the story with S2.

I have also been watching Season 2 of Silo, but it is slow moving

The best football competition in the world the A Leagues is on Paramount

It's actually a decent level now. Shame more people aren't into it.

              l liked Lioness.

              Deadwood is pretty good.

The Offer is about the making of The Godfather and is well worth a watch.

Stopped watching The Agency which should have been right up my alley.

They also have all the Yellowstone prequels which from memory you like Yellowstone. I have not watched any of them. Same with all the NCIS.

1883. The first Yellowstone prequel is awesome. Worth it just to watch that.

Has anyone else watched Sunny on apple tv+?

For mine it is fairly original and I really enjoyed it.

Suzy the main character is an American woman who lives in Japan, and she is trying to find out what happened to her husband and son who vanished. Oh, and we cannot forget Sunny, who is a "domestic robot" which was gifted to Suzy after her husband's death.

Watch Sunny - Apple TV+ (AU)

Probably no point in talking about it as I just read it has been cancelled after one season. Why did they have to go and do me like that? Similar to when netflix cancelled Cowboy Bebop.

The robot thing was a bridge too far to me...watched the preview and was out.

I like the idea it's something different though and will have a crack when Landman is done.

Rewatched Severance in readiness for S2 to commence mid-month. Really enjoyed it the second time around, possibly more so than the first time. A lot of little details I missed.

I thought S2 of squid game was a stupid idea and it should be left at one. They've partially won me over once I realised what they were doing with the new gimmick this season (once he's actually at the games which takes too long IMO.) Still a couple of episodes to go.

I liked it too (my son recommended it). Funnily my partner didn’t, and we normally have really similar taste.

Thought the Musical Dance Experience was a memorable one.
