He is fine , just had a concussion test and is back out in the nets , obviously cleared.

He really has a technique problem.

True, but you've got a whole life to live. Tough choices need to be made.

He just doesnt have the technique to play the short ball and its just going to keep on happening.

Did he just not pick the length or has he pulled it into his head?

Hard to say, the ball was wide enough to leave but somehow he seems to want to play a shot with his head right behind it.
For a very gifted batter he does seem to have some challenges with short deliveries.

Well he is out of today's shield game with concussion symptoms from that incident.

Yeah he was initially cleared and continued his innings (falling just short of a century I believe). Unfortunately he then suffered some delayed concussion symptoms.

It's such a shame, it's the perfect time to be mounting a case for an opening spot in the Australian test team.

Took another 5 and won Young Player of the Year to put Victoria in the box seat against South Aus. He reminds me a lot of Chadd Sayers. Shorter, skiddy, not quick but bowls stump to stump and nips it around. We know Sayers was never trusted at international level due to his pace, so interesting to see how they treat O'Neil.

Jordan Buckingham has taken 6/41 in a List A game today, five of those were bowled Buckingham caught Carey, and some of the names he got rid of were Labuschagne, Renshaw, Clayton and Wildermuth.

He's a bit of an old school cricketer, but a fun one to watch. He's only 23 and reminds me of Matt Henry from New Zealand - he's a tall guy who bowls medium-fast, but his biggest threat is his out-swing and on a full length - it feels like he's always either taking an outside edge or being driven through covers.

Also an absolute bunny with the bat - he averages less than 5 with a high score of 17 from 15 First Class matches.

I think I read Carey took 8 catches which is a record in Australia.

Yep! A random day of fixtures with a young fella opening the batting for Victoria named Thomas Rogers making 196 in a total of 311 with 15 fours and 15 sixes.

He played a few good innings for the Stars in the BBL this season, shows some promise at least in the shorter formats. Just saw a clip of all 15 sixes, fun viewing.

Unbelievable that they could be bowled out for just 311 with a 196 from Rogers and a 52 from Handscomb. Only 60 from the other 9 batsmen (3 extras).
