Re: A League
Thomas had a blinder
Great result in a difficult season .
I think victory recruiting forgot that the world Game also has what’s known as a midfield
The most lopsided recruiting in the clubs historyComment

Re: A League
I went, my third ever A league game.
Was an entertaining match, high scoring with plenty of shots on goal. Just great to be back at WO for a competitive anything, really.
If they hold more A league games at WO I'll go, certainly wouldn't travel to Geelong to watch a game. If WU survive (and there are doubts) and they manage to build the stadium at Tarneit I might be tempted to go occasionally.
Surely they play more games at our place than the hovel an hour awayComment

Re: A League
The Tarneit stadium is years away so we should get a few games per season. Helps with a little bit of extra revenue, plus teh business case for government support as it is genuinely a multi-use precinct.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Re: A League
I heard it was a little difficult to see the pitch from some areas but that was only if you wanted to be 'super-critical' other than that it was a really good experience and they are confident that they have learned enough that the pitch won't be a problem next time around.
The club are super keen to establish a relationship between elite western suburban clubs like united and the Renegades (they would move their orientation back to the west under the plan)They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

Western utd with a late goal defeat sydney 2 = 1. Definitely the form team coming into the finals winning 6 of the last 7.Comment

Not renewing my victory membership next season
Change of season for me is ridiculous
Up against the giant local sports isn’t healthy and if it’s getting lost in the eather in summer , imagine now !Comment

Re: A League
I'm victory and wu member. Why wouldn't you renew? The league is almost dead in summer. At least back them to try something.BT COME BACK!

Re: A League
I've liked the way that Western has gone about things since the early days of planning and the people they have got behind the scenes. Also that they want to be involved with the western suburbs community.Comment

Re: A League
I read an interview with Jason Culina last year. He described how difficult players found it playing in summer and that the quality would be so much better as a spectacle if played in winter. Even some of the summer evenings in Melbourne can be 30 deg, let alone up north. From a selfish point of view, i would like it to stay in summer.Comment

Re: A League
Been a member for 9 years, but love that we got a side in the West so wanted to support them. They train very close to me and I've been down a few times to practice matches. Seeing Bes and Diamanti up close like a local game is amazing. Bes even argues offsides with the temp officials like its a GF!
Hopefully they can get the home ground sorted, but be good to have Whitten Oval involved. I went to the game there it had a great western suburbs vibe. Like a carnival of the west.
I'm the same as you, prefer the summer as a fan but I'm ok with them trying something to get back to 5 years ago peak a league.BT COME BACK!

Western United have really built up a good team in such a short time in the A League.
