The security checks as you enter a stadium are pathetic. You could take in whatever you wanted without any major effort to hide it, and nobody would know.
No kidding. How many times have you had to give up some bullshit can or had to justify why a metal straw or whatever shouldn't be confiscated and then it turns out about 10 blokes all managed to get flares in yet again...and it's the exact guys you expected.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

No wonder they've joined a cult. Society has no place for them.

FA hit Victory with a show cause notice.

On another note, I went along to WU vs WSW yesterday and once again, behaviour was excellent. The club is doing really well to engage fans and make them feel welcome, including the CEO sitting amongst the fans.

The Western Service Crew also got on the megaphone to band everyone together, reiterated behaviour expectations, and that they wouldn't be leaving the ground. Instead they would disperse across the stadium.

I hope WU can keep growing, and rapidly as soon as next year, because both management, players and fans are setting good examples and making it a friendly atmosphere to be part of.

                    That's great to hear mate.

I'm a 5 game ? member just to support the local boys.

Might be a few considering a permanent switch after the w/e.

Yep, I'm part of a few social media groups, and a few Victory fans have said they will be making the switch.

Can Victory really be blamed for this, or just a bunch of wankers who don't belong to attending games?

its an interesting one, multiple offences for Victory and in particular the North End. City home game so technically they were in charge of not allowing the banned supporters in the ground.
I'm of the opinion that they havent done enough to stamp out the behaviour over the past 15 years.

                            Re: A League

I think it has been a difficult situation for the club. The Northern End supporter group have called themselves a number of names over the years. They currently call themselves Original Style Melbourne (OSM). I think the club knows that they are an unruly mob who really can't be trusted and they have completely shut them down before. The catch is, when they are in full voice and filling the stands they actually create an unbelievable atmosphere inside the ground. When the club had a stand off with them and they basically boycotted the games, the atmosphere was just not the same.

However, this is now at breaking point ... again. If you look at the socials of OSM, you can see that they are wannabe hooligans (or the leaders are anyway). They post photos of their group supporting with their faces blurred out. Their messages during the week of hate against the ALP was part of the reason their "Crew" was so fired up.

We can have active supporters. But we need to have a zero tolerance on a number of things. Drop the pyro. Zero flares. That will get rid of a lot of nutters who think that is a core part of the game. The A-League should bring in a policy. If a supporter rips a flare the team loses all the points. That will stop it quickly. Also, zero tolerance on any type of threatening or unruly behavior. I think what drove them to boycott last time was that they had to show ID or have some type of verification to sit in the active supporter area. Well it has come to that again. We need to know who they are.

It might depend on what they knew before the game and what actions they took. It's a shame to hat probably 100 people could potentially wreck it for the true supporters.
