Just some speculation but the Dixon deal has been done with the help of Richmond.

Have Richmond moved from 12 to 19 with the belief is 19 will be used on Yarran?

Yarran won't be the difference between losing and winning a final. They've had a crack at a few of them Richmond and come up empty handed each time.

Menzal is icing, not cake.
Factor in reported discipline issues and his knee will pop at some stage (LARS) than I can understand why a rebuilding side would move him on, especially when they can get an inside mid back to replace Bell.

Looks like a busy afternoon (again, not involving us).
The longer trade period goes on, the more I'm glad we're not involved. Dal has too many selection credits for us to burn trades on fringe types unless they're freebies like Hamling or virtual freebies like Biggs

CONFIRMED DEAL: Charlie Dixon is on his way to Port Adelaide. Here's Emma Quayle's report:


Under the deal, Port Adelaide will receive Dixon and the Suns' third round pick, 49.


The Suns will receive pick 10 from Port Adelaide, pick 31 from the Tigers and future second round selections from both clubs.


Richmond will gain pick 19, effectively swapping two second-round picks for one first round selection.

Menzel is overrated.

Not particularly quick, doesn't win his own ball, no tank.

He's smart with good skills but nowhere near what many predicted he'd become.

Agree, he should have a tank and be playing midfield by now

Yarran's not the answer for Richmond .
Needs are a small forward, and a grunt type .
They already have front runners in Houli and Grigg.
