Good luck to Jack Fitzpatrick. I would have loved him at the Bulldogs. The kid can play.

Hopefully Hawthorn can deprogram all the Melbourne out of him.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I don't rate Fitzpatrick whatsoever. He'll be delisted in a year. Athlete playing football.

I'm disappointed we haven't been able to upgrade our Pick 11, or acquire two mid first round picks, given many other clubs have done something similar.

They'd need pick 11. Perhaps 15 and 18 could come to us for 11.

Agree. It gets parrotted around like it's the most obvious thing in the world, when in reality Rough has shown no ability whatsoever as a forward. If Roughy is going to rely on his forward ability then I worry for his future. Campbell is a much better forward and gets declared a 1st ruck only.

40 or so trade movements (exc. free agency). None involving us, the only club with under 20 hours left.

We made very few changes to the list and we did say we were going to be quiet although not many of us thought there would be no trades. At least we tried for Martin, Carlisle and Lobbe and pounced on Matt Suckling.

Some Clubs just seem to trade for the sake of it.Players come and go at Brisbane like it was Bourke street. I am glad we are settled. Bevo did say he was very happy with the group.

Think this is the nuts and bolts of it
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Yep, we have a very young list, not a lot of games under the belt, but we finished 6th after the home-and-away season.

We could well have won our elimination final, which was played on an unfamiliar away ground.

We basically have the list and only need to tweak it. I am satisfied with our cautiousness. We also have 3 rookie spots to try out some road-less-travelled selections in our VFL team.

Agree. And by far the players moving round are fringe players. Of the players moved this period who are proven players? Dangerfield obviously, Treloar, Carlisle. Im sure Ive missed some but by far the majority are players who were, at best, in and out of their side all year.

I would have liked to see us get involved in some attempts to move up the draft by packaging picks to the clubs that needed points to bid on academy players. Having the Talia 'investigation' drag on has really hurt us. We should demand some sort of compensation for this inept and sluggish behaviour by the AFL.
