They’ve gone all Florida Marlins on the comp
For the uninitiated the Marlins sold everyone after they won the World Series in 1997
Unlike the Marlins , no trophies for the plastics

Yep, they’ve done well here. I mentioned Will was up for grabs before trade week kicked off. He is the cousin of Isabel huntington which I thought might be a good link to get him here.

Must not want to overpay for him now that they have Lobb I guess.

Wonder if it also means Freo keep Neale.

This could be huge for us. This means that the pick 5 they are likely to get from Brisbane (for Neale) stays with them. Without pick 5 going to Melbourne you would think the May to Melbourne deal is cooked and, if we are keen, we know the main opposition to the trade just dropped out and we can now be on the front foot.

In a pick sense, does Freo now look at both brothers (meaning Smith may slide to 7)?

Can't see Gold Coast accepting anything less than pick 7 for May, they will likely get a top 4 pick next year if he leaves under free agency.

Agree on Setterfield, we might not be more attractive than Hawthorn but surely we can show we are a better prospect than Carlton?

                    This is quite interesting.

I have had mail for sometime that in baseball terms, Hogan is currently sitting at 3 & 2. While Freo would like nothing more than a good hitter, his current position on home base is precarious.

Or Collingwood, we won't get him.

The rational side of me agrees because a small forward or outside mid should be the target, but do we bank on a Bailey Williams coming on next year and playing an outside role? The forward line is a much harder fix but I'd be loathe to have the opportunity to get May but we miss out and take what will probably be a good kid at 7, but still untested.

                              May is a gun.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
