I wonder what they want for him? Another year on his contract and then he’s a UFA. I can’t imagine they’re going to get a huge pick. Ditto for Le Young & Owies.

I shuddered when I saw that. He's a perfect candidate for us, former club doesn't want him, not much other interest anywhere else I'd imagine. Starting midfield for Western Bulldogs R1 2025.

Bit of a difference in character though. Kennedy is a raging homophobe, not the kind of person you want at your club, especially when the captain of our AFLW side is gay, along with many of the other players (not to mention any support staff off-field). Rather we stay away from him on that factor alone

He was liking social media posts (most notably one by Israel Folau) saying gay people were condemned to hell. Gary Ablett Jr also did.

The post that drew everyone's attention a few years back was this:
“Warning – Drunks, Homosexuals, Adulterers, Liars, Fornicators, Thieves, Atheists, Idolaters. HELL AWAITS YOU. REPENT! ONLY JESUS SAVES”

It's one thing to believe this. It's another to openly like (and therefore promote your opinions) on a public social media profile.

I know for a fact that Gary Ablett Jr is not a homophobe, and so I suspect Kennedy and Folau are not also. The thing they perhaps share in common is a love of God and thus a love of humanity.

Homophobic or not it does feel like Kennedy (and Owies too) are kinda getting vibe checked by Carlton. Not particularly interested in either of them.

I think Kennedy is getting Jack Macrae'd in that he's a perfectly good inside mid, but he has no POD to the rest of the midfield group.

Owies is in a similar boat I feel too.

No idea if their good humans or not, personally I don't care... as long as they play good footy and don't shit other players lockers then it's all good.

Would clubs have interest in Dom Brew (Werribee)?

Clearly had an outstanding season winning the Liston and the coaches award.

I don't know a lot about him.
