Sanity has prevailed. IMO the last 24 hours have not reflected at all well on our club or the AFL.

Even when I saw the club statement it still didn't sit easy with me.

Clearly from the get go of this merry go around, the AFL haven't exactly been across what ASADA / WADA say and do.

Unfortunately I expected the same thing in this situation.

So now we are in March with no Player Welfare Officer and Prismall is potentially facing the prospect of his 2 year ban restarting effective today. Shemozzle.

We have come out of this looking completely ridiculous.

Surely it would have occurred to us that we were playing with fire and that a conservative approach, whilst continuing to support Brent, was the right option?

The AFL is still trying to be a law into itself. They're yet to figure out their lack of importance in the real world.

Can't be bothered to write my thoughts, I've had more than enough of this shit 3 year saga now, so just ditto to this.

The club sought permission from the AFL and it was approved, how does that make us look bad. The rules are not clear cut, and clubs are seeking clarity.

Very much agree with BAD on this. Seems a lot of unnecessary hand wringing being driven by the media who we all acknowledge are largely muck raking click baiters.

TheAge, certainly online has certainly become clickbait. They are missing the ASADA scandal. Have to do some work.

The rules are as clear-cut as you can get. There was no clarity required.

And a cursory reading of how this whole affair has played out would've shown that relying solely on the AFL for guidance was not wise. Surely by now, any club would be ccing ASADA/WADA in on all correspondence.

I just hope Brent Prismall does not have his 2 year ban set back to start at yesterday's date. Jeez, that poor guy has been screwed over so bad.

Very succinctly put by Francis Leach.

If they are clear then why have various players asked the AFl to adjudicate certain situations.
