Firstly, you've been double posting a lot of late.

Secondly, the counter argument that will be made is that almost everyone involved in the scandal is no money connected to the club. Hird, Thompson, Dank, The Weapon, Evans, all gone.

The only one really left standing is Dr Reid and his biggest falling was that he was weak as piss and didn't do anywhere near enough to stop it. He should have blown the whistle.

I think that would be fair comment if EFC had removed these individuals in a prompt manner and shown an appropriate level of contrition. I would argue the facts indicate otherwise.

Still can't believe he was cleared given his position, not sure why more of a fuss hasn't been made of this.

This may be over prior to Christmas, and it seems everyone's a little perplexed that EFC players didn't mention the off site injections of the good Thymosin during their interviews in 2012............just everything else:

Lucky they've whittled their list to the point where only 12 players from that era remain.
          TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Maybe they didn't think the injections were ridgey didge? It's interesting that none of the players mentioned it. It's almost like they got together and worked out a plan much earlier than we thought.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

              I don't like this bit;

Two Essendon players whose names have not been made public returned elevated levels of Thymosin Beta 4 in frozen urine samples which were retested by WADA in Germany.
While those test results were regarded as the only new evidence in the WADA appeal, the nuances surrounding the hearing in Sydney left the players significantly more pessimistic than they had been after last year's AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal hearing.
The past and present Essendon players and the AFL had remained hopeful that even if found guilty of doping violations they were unlikely to miss football games. This followed submissions from the AFL and ASADA.
However all parties remain less optimistic following the CAS hearing.

                Why not? Crameri?
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Essendon showed 'significant disregard' for players' safety

Essendon plead guilty to risking players' health.

And the players questioned the injections and were told to keep It secret, if that's not guilty what is ?

Has anyone else read The Straight Dope. Almost the whole of the Windy Hill staff appear to have been on one or another of Danks's potions. According to the book even the volunteer assistant property steward was getting injections from him.

Re: ASADA issues show-cause notices to Essendon players

So they asked the players to rank Jobe as a leader prior to him being given the Captain's role for 2016. SEN today stated that it was outrageous that he was put through this as he more than anyone has been through more for this football club than anyone else. They also stated that Jobe was a brilliant leader and his ability to lead the side should never have been questioned.

I was sitting in the car wondering why, if Jobe is such a great leader of men, why he didn't once feel he had a duty of care to the people he was leading and undertake his own due diligence on what the hell was in those injections that everyone from Hird to the boot studder was jamming into their bodies.

Shouldn't Jobe at least once just questioned it? And if he was told to keep quiet then what sort of leader is he anyway if he listens?
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Or should he have shot through to England to watch cricket when his club is at its lowest ebb in years? That wasn't exactly a great example.

Why? If he didn't go, he may not be at essendon next season.

Perhaps self sacrifice is part of earning a more than decent wage, and the prestige of leading a club like the EFC means significant tolls on your physical and mental wellbeing are part and parcel of what's required to do it properly.

If you take that sort of roll on, you have to take the good and the bad with it.
