Yeah, hopefully he has been in the gym, rather than the bakery.

If it's the bakery then all he needs is a chat with BAD. The shame will motivate him pretty quickly.

Based on how he got through training on Monday and in particular the match sim he would have to be a good chance to play in the VFL this weekend.
They could manage his workload and minutes.

Deep Heat Medical Room: Round 14

The latest on Sam Darcy, James Harmes and more ahead of Thursday's clash with St Kilda.

The Western Bulldogs will be without midfielder James Harmes in Round 14 due to concussion protocols.

Bulldogs Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell said Harmes suffered delayed concussion following the loss to Hawthorn.

“In the days after the AFL game, James developed some symptoms that were consistent with someone who has had a low-level concussive episode,” Bell said.

“Our doctors will manage him conservatively as he enters our concussion protocols.

“We’ll work closely with our doctors over the next 10 days to determine his return-to-play plan.”

In more positive news, Sam Darcy and Riley Garcia will be tested.

“Sam’s progress has gone really smoothly across the last eight weeks,” Bell said.

“He’s been the ultimate professional and his commitment to the (rehab) program has been outstanding. He is back to full strength now and has had some continuity in his training the last couple of weeks.

“If Sam gets through training tomorrow like I expect, we’ll see him back in the colours.

“In our pre-season game, Riley suffered a knee injury in a tackle. He did have surgery to repair some cartilage.

“We’ve been really slow in his progress across the last three months to make sure we’ve built him up properly, but in great news he’s ticked all of our boxes.”

Jason Johannisen will be unavailable as he recovers from some recent illness.

“During our mid-season break, JJ became really unwell and was bedridden for over a week,” he said.

“It has taken him a little while to get some energy back into his body, but he will reintegrate back into training across the next week.

“We will look to return him to availability once we are happy that he is feeling back to his best.”

It’s actually a very small list considering other teams , we are getting a few back and if we can get a run going it’s going to be a good ride

Cody Weightman’s run of bad luck continues. He’s suffered a nasty infection to his troublesome knee and will go under the knife again this week.

                          Medical Room: Round 15

Three Bulldogs will undergo fitness tests this week ahead of an AFL-VFL double-header at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

Jason Johannisen (illness) and Jordan Croft (foot) will be monitored across the week before their availability can be confirmed, while James Harmes is moving through the concussion protocols.

“James has continued to progress following his concussion related symptoms,” Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell said.

“He still has some boxes to tick and will work with our doctor across this week to confirm his availability.

“Jordan has integrated back into full training following his foot stress injury.

“He will train fully this week, and if all goes well, will look forward to Jordan pulling back on the jumper this weekend.”

Harvey Gallagher will be sidelined for approximately a month after suffering a calf injury in the VFL.

“Harvey pulled up with a tight calf, with scans confirming a moderate grade calf injury,” Bell said.

“We expect Harvey to miss the next 3-4 games.”
