Bevo made mention of the people Marra surrounds himself with (or something to that effect in his mid-week presser last week). It's frustrating as a supporter that it's come to this, but if he's hanging around deadbeats and they're potentially going to influence the culture of the club (IE: Marra is an influential guy, younger players would look up to him... would you want your teenage son being influenced this way?). From what I can see, the club is doing the right thing by the collective.

A serious football analysis show is what is presents itself as, and this rent seeker's first take on round one is that? What a ****wit.
That's Herald Sun Chief Football Reporter F***wit Jay Clark to you, thank you very much!

We all have life lessons to face along the way. While Marra is young and has a high profile he's not immune from those decisions.
I commend the club for not making too many allowances and it's clear he has to do the work before his return.
It's going to be frustrating for all the supporters who care for him but it's a necessary course of actions.

For all the talk of Marra starting to turn things around....he was at the Sorrento hotel on the long weekend. EVEN if he wasn't drinking - why with everything going on, would you go to the busiest pub in Australia over a long weekend?
I haven't really commented on the fiasco previously....but he fails the character test. We've committed long term to Naughton as a forward, Darcy is better than both of them.....trade him out at the end of the year and take the hit.

So he can't have a social life? I think it is irrelevant where he was.

The same media dickhead who stated barely 5 months ago that Bailey Smith for pick 17 was a more than fair trade.

Anybody with a nickname like Jay Z is automatically assumed to be dickhead, although it will end up being very amusing if the real Jay Z winds up being outed on the Diddy list.

Clark said that Bailey Smith was “in the midfield, breaking lines and hitting targets”. I know I don’t need to tell anyone on here that the third one was a lie, and he was at about a quarter of the centre bounces. So if anyone was wondering what sort of journalistic accuracy is needed to become the top footy writer at the Sun, aim for about 33%.

He certainly has no problem having a social life, the social life never stops. It doesn't stop during the 'personal leave' last year, it doesn't stop when he's missing trainings and it doesn't stop when his future at the club is in question.
He's been in the papers constantly and chooses to go to the busiest pub I can think of on a long weekend. Its poor judgement.
And please don't give me the comparisons to a normal 22 year old....

And how do you know this? Don’t tell me you were there too? On a long weekend by golly

Hey that's the new head journo at the Herald Sun. That's how low we're going with our media experts Jay Clark is apparently the best.

Don't mind if Ugle Hagan leaves but we better get A LOT back. Time to trade is this off season not next and make it a bidding war. Shame these players keep leaving (Ugle-Hagan may stay) but bad luck happens.

I am hoping that, with club being firm with him, he has a Stevie J. moment that turns his life around.

If he was just having 'a social life' he would have been playing last weekend.
He has issues, and as far as we can tell - judgement is one of them.

As you predicted in another thread Jon Ralph now running with JUH to Geelong because South Warrnambool is so close.

I would trade him anywhere BUT Geelong.

I'll take less just so long he doesn't end up at that shithole.
