Does it even matter that Busslinger doesn’t play on the number one forwards? Isn’t his type of intercepting tall exactly what we need?

He did the job asked of him. In time he can do that and yes ideally we need to find a KPD but it's more about if there are better options later.

They would be hoping to then land Busslinger at pick 13.

It could be out of Phillipou, McKenzie or Tsatas that slides but I wouldn't rule out Busslinger still being our pick even if one or even two of them are available.

Tsatas is a brilliant player and it would be a huge surprise if he got to our pick or beyond.
Essendon should consider Phillipou because they genuinely need a bigger bodied mid.

If Allan does go at 9 that will really shake things up.

Ive looked at this assessment a couple of times now and it does make sense if you assume West Coast preferred to pick up Allan at 13 but are now under the impression that either StKilda are tempted by him (if they miss on McKenzie), Carlton are locked onto Hollands at 11 and we have the magic pick pick before 13 and they now consider we are interested.
Im excited that we might pick up a highly rated player with our pick. One of Phillipou, Tsatas, Busslinger and Allan would welcomed.

          Sam Darcy?

I'd want to seem him 'clink' the ball more than double grab the ball but the scouts/recruiters have obviously seen far more of him than I have.

He seems like a very safe pick. Got the same elite qualities that Hunter has in endurance and two-way running with the added bonus of really good decision making.

Has the bonus that his brother was highly rated prior to his ACL and is yet to make his mark at the Suns.

Much better quality highlights package on Hollands, the vision on the players has been going backwards.

I didn't realise he had a nice sidestep, and I think the footage also showed his kicking can be a little suspect but he does look to be an AFL player that's for sure.

Yeah his DraftCentral profile says that his kicking under pressure can be a bit suspect but in space it's quite strong. Obviously you're never going to get as much room on the outside as you can as a junior but that's something that can be ironed out.

His scope for improvement will overcome any challenges. He would be a great fit for us but Carlton are apparently very keen on him so it's unlikely he will be available.

Phillipou isn't the only player who has split recruiter opinions. Ginbey is an interesting case too - some love him, some think his production should be higher given his physical advantages

I'm really surprised he's so highly regarded. I watched two WA games from the champs and barely noticed him.
I feel like at times they go "does he have Clayton Oliver attributes ?"

Ginbey is a bull midfielder in the Clay Smith mold but his disposal efficiency might scare off some clubs. I think he has good in difficult conditions down at Geelong.
