I know nothing about recruiting and you guys seem all over this kid so I hope these draft watchers are correct.

Essendon (rumour only) weighing up between Humphrey & Phillipou at 4, they want a big body with their first pick this year.
Seem to acting on the assumption North go Sheezel & Wardlaw.

I do wonder if we may actually go tall at 11 even if it isn't a need. Hollands who was linked to our pick previously seems to be Carlton's target, they love his tank.

        Re: 2022 Draft Watch

For our 3rd pick I'm not sure if we should be looking for a tall defender, ruckman or sticking with the best available.

I've been quite impressed with Bailey Macdonald who is a quick and attacking defender and Luke Teal who is also an athletic defender although more of a 3rd tall option.
Billy Dowling would be a good midfielder for us if he was still available.

Harry Barnett seems to fit the mould of a 'Bevo' ruckman. Would our second pick be too much of a reach?

Around the mark. Not sure he would be there after pick 30 or so.

I think I would take Phillipou at #1.
Fair take, I'm thinking he will be gone anyway. There is something about Allan in the limited footage that I don't see in some of the other players.

We need a ruckman and would we need to select him at 21 to have a chance of getting him?

Historically, ruckmen are such a crapshoot I'd rather wait until the rookie draft (and then definitely take one)

He won't be there at 39. If we want him, we must take him at 21. It'll simply come back to how highly we rate him and who's still available.

I don't think we'll be influenced by player type with our first two picks. We will pick best available and balance that out later in the draft.

It looks like it's going to be a hard year for even the likes of Cal Twomey to get the first round close to right.
I still want Ed Allan with our first pick, can someone please talk me out of it?

194 cm midfielder hmmm, they've been good to us in the past!
What do you know about him Dogs 24/7?

He even said there were 2 players he watched closely. One was the Bont.

Just what I've seen so very limited minutes in the scheme of things. There is just some things he does that reeks an ability to perform at the AFL level.

We just need MJPs stamp of approval and I'm in.
