Check the timing of the news shared. I have some serious doubts.

The Bont one was so ridiculous. Claimed Bont was unhappy and wanted a move, but would wait until 2025. But he had a preference of Geelong (Sydney might have been the other).

So Marcus wants out but will wait until 2025 but already has a preference for which club.....

Interestingly four days ago he said Taylor Adams is exploring opportunities. Today the general media picked it up.

Given we are linked with Coffield and had an apparent interest in Doedee before that I wonder why we see a need for a 3rd tall defender? Is trading for that 3rd tall defender a real gap in our list when perhaps there are some cheaper options we could consider?

Tall defenders
L.Jones, Keath, Gardner, O'Donnell, Busslinger with Darcy capable of going back

Small/Mid defenders
Richards, Dale, Johannisen, Duryea, Cleary, Crozier*, Vandermeer, Gallagher with Williams and Daniel occasionally used there

Given we are linked with Coffield and had an apparent interest in Doedee before that I wonder why we see a need for a 3rd tall defender? Is trading for that 3rd tall defender a real gap in our list when perhaps there are some cheaper options we could consider?

Personally I see an intercepting defender as the no 1 hole on our list.
It's less about their height and more about the role they play.
