If anything, it will give Mantis someone to shout at when Eagleton retires at the end of the year.

A player such as Hill or Everitt and a swapping of picks (our third round for their second) might get it done.
I wanted Tambling 2 years ago when no one wanted him. With a change of teams and less focus on him (lets face it, getting picked up before Franklin has really affected him, he even admitted it)
I would still look at him this trade period.

I'd look at Tambling too. He did have a solid 2009 and just to add to Mofra's post, I read that he had been going to a shrink to overcome the whole 'Franklin/Tambling' thing that constantly gets brought up. Not sure if there's truth to that, but it did come from a Richmond supporter.

I think we'd have to give up more than we'd want, though.

Don't think it was me, but I wouldn't mind seeign what we'd need to give up to get Tambling. Richmond are looking at Houli & Mundy which means they would probably want picks for Tambling, which is problematic for us.

One pacy outside mid would help us immensely.

Seems like Sherman is officially on the table now.

SPEEDY midfielder/forward Justin Sherman yesterday confirmed he was the Brisbane Lions' next salary-cap relief casualty.

Rischitelli and Brennan, who is leaning to the Suns and Carlton as his two main playing options beyond this year, were on lucrative deals and coming out of contract, whereas Sherman has two years to run on a heavily back-ended contract worth about $800,000 for 2011 and 2012 combined.
The bolded would have to be a huge concern for any team looking to pick him up. Possibly Brisbane will have to continue paying a portion of his wages over the next two seasons as it's hard to see many clubs being prepared to pay that amount unless they have no one else to spend it on.

Is a line breaker and at his best would be a damaging player in any team but at his worst would be somewhat of a liability. Don't know for sure but watching him, he seems like a fairly selfish player when he has the ball, might be under instruction though.

                Anyone interested in him?

No thanks from me. I'd rather the Shermanator from the American Pie films.

Really? You think Tambles is poo? More poo than Ray or Jordy? Or Eagle? You don't think he'll add any value to our midfield next year? To our half-forward line? To our half-back line? Even with Harbs gone?

I know he's played some horrendous games, but I've watched him play some absolute blinders in the past 12 months as well.. he could really be some cream for our midfield overflowing with (beef)cake.

He has copped a lot of criticism, most of it justified (heck I've given it to him often enough) but I think his reputation precedes him a bit.

If Brisbane pay a portion of his wage then I think we should look at him. Provides outside run and goal kicking abilities which we could do with a bit more of. All depends on what Brisbane want for him I guess.
                          The curse is dead.

Jordy, Ray or Eagle >>>>>>> Tambling.

I know Tambling kicked 4 once but I honestly can't remember him ever having anything more than a barely passable game. Career Brownlow votes would be zero at a guess.

To be fair, evverything is black and white with Sockeye. Definately worth looking at IMHO
