Knights was probably it, so I think we'll see their draft pick swapped to us through Carlton. Anyone else you'd be interested in who would be in the value range of Jacobs/Everitt?

I'd prefer a pick, i think we have a real opportunity to make this draft a kind of superdraft for us with having Wallis & Libba handed on a silver platter.

We could have say 4 picks under 30, along with Libba at 39'ish rated as a teens - low 20's pick.

I think it'll be Everitt to Carlton, Jacobs to Adelaide, draft pick to us. Although I'm only guessing, the only thing I know for sure is that Carlton are going to make a play for Everitt again.

Everitt to Carlton for pick 18
Minson to Adelaide for pick 27 (Bock compensation)
          Hill worth considerably less

Why would Carlton want Minson when they're already looking to trade out an additional ruckman?

Sorry, I didn't mean it as a single trade. I was just listing what I would accept for each player.

Edit: I've just realised I had a brain fade and wrote Minson to Carlton for the Bock compensation pick instead of Minson to Adelaide.

My mum used to say, "pay attention to what I mean, not what I say".

                Haha, right I gotcha.

Do you think Adelaide would prefer Minson to Jacobs?

I think Port are in need of a mature ruckman too.

I also keep hearing murmurs for Everitt to the Gold Coast, so let's hope we get a few clubs into some sort of bidding war, a bit like selling a house really...

I think we might be a bit more reasonable to deal with than Carlton

Adelaide are all over Andrew Walker and Carlton will want to package them both up to get Adelaides first rounder, which obviously Adelaide won't want to do.

Could we turn Minson and a (highish) pick into Taylor Walker?
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I nearly suggested this myself. I was thinking Minson to Adelaide, Everitt to Carlton, draft pick for Everitt to Adelaide, Walker to Bulldogs.

With Jones & Grant showing good signs & Roughy/ Cordy combo developing (well at least Roughy at this stage) do we really need another tallish forward as a matter of urgency?

I would have thought adding some small forwards, ball carrying mids and another tall defender would be more important areas to address.

Agreed. As long as we don't end up with Alwyn Davey as the small forward. Sure he is quick and can tackle...but have you ever seen him pick up the ball in one go? He fumbles more than the great Nathan Eagleton would in a big game (sorry eagle!). Davey can't play - we can do better than him.

I disagree, I would be keen to go after Davey. He just needs to be given clear instruction for the coach that he's there to kick goals, if he has the opportunity have a shot.
