Norf have tried to be to clever by half with this.
Greenwood a good fit for the pies ( no Beams replacement ) but a handy one.
I'm a bit Meh ! To be honest about this

So North have out smarted themselves by bringing in Higgins and losing Greenwood.

Pickering says we had the better offer on the table for Levi, but he thought Collingwood a better fit.

Josh Simpson no certainty to stay a Docker

YOUNG midfielder Josh Simpson's future at Fremantle is in jeopardy, with the club still required to free another spot on its senior list before next month's NAB AFL Draft.

Simpson took indefinite leave from the club in June after a series of off-field indiscretions.

He has twice been fined by the Dockers for failing to meet club requirements, the second of which came in April after he missed a team flight to Sydney.

I recall there was speculation we would draft him back in 2012 (he went at 17 and of course we took Hrovat at 21). Would we take a risk and rookie him if available (assuming he would be willing to move to Victoria)? Talented outside runner that we need but obviously has had some off field issues.

He's a young dad if I recall . Looks like the life of an AFL footballer is to hard for him.

I just can't see the dees just taking picks .
They'll want an established player or a young gun, and I can't see that getting done.
If we swap picks and someone like Hrovat in the mix, I'd want their second round pick.

Porplyzia has retired and Jarrad Petrenko has been delisted from the Crows.

What are peoples thoughts on taking Petrenko? Coming off a season that was hampered by injuries (after a very good 2013) but is only 24 and could inject some speed across HF/HB.

What are peoples thoughts on taking Petrenko? Coming off a season that was hampered by injuries (after a very good 2013) but is only 24 and could inject some speed across HF/HB.

Going on memory, thought he wasn't a bad player. At 24 could have something to offer.

Between Tony McGuinness, Kim Koster, Brian Lake, Ryan Griffen, Adam Cooney and Will Minson, I'm a bit over South Australians!
I'd prefer to stick local.. I wouldn't mind a recruitment policy where we stayed a little closer to home. Local kids seem to bleed a bit more for the club.

I don't know what Petrenko would add based on his Adelaide output. Played mainly as a small deep/defensive forward iirc. I think we have plenty of cover in that area - as @ 8.22pm 10/10/14
