    Re: SEN new line-up

Caught the last 20 minutes of Andrew Maher and Bob Murphy and they had one of the best interviews with Harold 'Dickie' Bird

I strongly recommend you give it a listen if you enjoy cricket, Bird is now 86 and while the interview doesn't always flow it's one that will tug the heart strings with it's surprise ending.

This is where Bob will be handy. Anything involving a sentimental yarn about sport is right up his alley.

Dickie Bird and The journalist Henry Blowfeld , legends of the game in what they bought to it outside of playing it.
Whoever thinks you can’t love an umpire or journo , these two prove it’s a furphy.
Would love to hear from Henry with Bob and Andy.

That's not what a furphy is. A furphy is a rumour and comes from the water tanks they drove around the western front in WWI. The diggers would gather around to get their water and talk crap about what was going to happen next on the battlefront and eventually the word just became another name for a rumour.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I hope that SEN finds another vehicle for Jack Heverin. I thought he was doing a brilliant job in the lunchtime shift, his interviews were fantastic to listen to.

Genuinely dreading Dwayne having 15 hours of air time to himself a week.

Jack should replace Sam Maclure who can barely make himself available to do his show. SEN is low on his priorities.
Agree that Heverin is a talent and Dwayne might be painful
