There is no doubt now that Hutchinson is an influential person in Australian sports particularly AFL.

He must be very confident he can grown revenue and increase ratings in a very competitive industry.
Perhaps one of the biggest challenges he could face would be if he could make the hard call on his mates at SEN.

Croc media were underpaying some of their junior staff. They had an adverse finding against them by the Fair Work Commission and had to repay the wages they had underpaid,
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Some weren’t paid at all. Treated as interns, I believe

Yep, interns was the exact term Crocmedia used I think.

I think that getting Whateley across is a clear indication that they are trying to raise the standard of content on SEN. They are seemingly looking to bring across some of the ABC audience, and their competitors like 3AW.

Whateley is a good get on paper but I'm not sure how he will go covering 3hrs every single day without having to dumb down his persona to fill the time. He has this air of smugness and superiority that will simply not wash in the commercial world and with a commercial audience.

On the wider picture, SEN cannot continue to rate 2's and 3's and survive. Their formula simply hasn't worked thus far and significant changes are needed to raise the audience numbers consistently. All they've done recently is shuffle the deck chairs without making any meaningful changes.

Francis Leach has the same air of smugness and gets away with it. But I agree he will have to adapt his persona to fit in at SEN.

Nice. Not really sure what his role was. Know it All Smartarse was the best I could come up with. I'm not surprised they decided to do without one of those. Moving forward.

Not a massive surprise - not much love lost between Hutchy and Slobbo. He has been regularly treated as comic relief by Hutchy and Pickers on Saturday mornings.
