I remember taping episodes of Rock Around the World with Basia and they had a special about Japan and Television. For some reason I always confused David Sylvian and Tom Verlaine.

Yes, that is a great song also.

David did some work with the incredible Ryuichi Sakamoto which I also enjoyed. David was a weird sort of dude, and very cool. Don't know anything about Tom Verlaine.

Punk icon type.

He was Patti Smith's squeeze for ages and played on a few of her earlier recordings. He was in a few bands with Richard Hell (Hell left Television and joined up with Johnny Thunders to form the Heartbreakers) and nowadays he's in a band with some of the members of Sonic Youth and Wilco.

One of my favourite songs of all time. The bassline, rolls of screaming feedback and the almost unique double vocal loop means you listen to it plenty of times and hear something that you haven't noticed before. Gang of Four is one of the greatest bands of all time.

Utterly brilliant song. The way the rhythm section propels the song while the guitar just messes about over the top and the dual (duelling?) vocals make the song for me. My favourite song of a classic album. Beautiful addition Twodogs.

I think that it's called a double vocal. Whatever it's called it's a work of genius. Not many songs can be called unique but this is. And yes the whole album (Entertainment!) is brilliant.

Just to prove how good they are this is them performing the song live with no studio tricks and they nail it perfectly;

This is one of the first singles off the album and I cannot get enough of it.
