Apparently there is a third brother about to join the squad. Usman Marsh is quite confident he can be selected for the fourth test as all Marshs are walk up starts.

When was the last time an Australian #6 hit a century?

Maxwell is only one of two Aussies to make centuries in all three formats of the game. Guess the other one.

But when did a #6 last score an Test century. I genuinely can't remember.

Surely the other can only be Warner

Steve Smith in 2014 against South Africa.

                    Shane Watson
3 years, and from a future number 3. The selectors have a fair bit of responsibility.

Great knocks from Smith and Maxwell
Big big chance for Maxwell to cement the number 6 spot , and just shows he can keep his head down and scrap runs.
I fear India are going to go big here , and put the Aussies under 3rdinnings pressure . They did the same to England

In the previous 16 or so tests, the best innings by a no. 6 was Hilton Cartwright's 37 at the SCG earlier this year!

Good thing the selectors dropped Hilton, and brought back in Marsh with no form or apparent fitness behind him...

Yep, God knows how we were supposed to lose the second test with an in form #6 batsman.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I thought Cummins looked sensational with the ball, especially for a guy that's barely played first class cricket in 5 years.
