    Re: 2017 Tour of India

Lyon's now well entrenched in our top 10 all-time test wicket takers and is only 29. He could end up with 500+

      Re: 2017 Tour of India

It's been an absolute grind with the Indians bowling very negatively but it was a real shame to see Renshaw give up his wicket because it ended a fine and determined innings.

3 for 136 and it's now up to Shaun Marsh to go on with it and make a big score.

Handscomb's come out and started to get things moving. A big partnership knocks India out of the game.

Edit- and Pete's got himself out. Came down the track and clipped it to midwicket

A bad wicket to lose. The brothers now need to answer the challenge.

            They won't.

*edit* well *!*!*!*!ing Mitch certainly didn't. His father must hate his guts to want to see him embarrass himself over and over again.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Wow you have to feel for Mitch there. He got a grubber that didn't bounce at all, shot through under his bat and hit him in front of middle and leg. Whether he should be in the side or not, there's not much you can do about that.

I didn't see it so I may have been a bit short with my analysis. It's a funny game cricket. The cricket gods are just tgat bit crueller than other games gods in the length of time they like to spread their malevolence over.

So it's up to Wade and the bowlers. It looks almost like a lead of 100 would do it but we still have to get in front yet. Now would be a great time for Wade to come roaring back into form with a century. An innings like that would be pretty good about now.

It was one of those balls that you'd only get when you're out of form and playing for your place in the side

I guess the cricket gods are trying to tell the selectors something?

Yep, hard to chalk that one down to him. It's clearly a case of when you are down on form lady luck will kick your arse.

India burn both their new reviews within 4 overs...really?

Great knock by SMarsh, showing why he was selected as a good player in these conditions.

Sounds like Mitch was done to a very unlucky ball so I'll refrain from commenting further

In the second innings of the first test the Indian openers had used both appeals 35 balls into the innings. Is it the BCCI's refusal to have DRS in the past coming back to bite them now? The Indian players don't seem quite what to make of them or how best to use them and just seem to regard them as a free way to dispute a decision they didn't particularly like rather than when they are genuinely convinced they have hit an LBW or been caught behind off the forearm and been given out.

I thought Kohli was going to review in the first test when he was bowled shouldering arms. He stood and looked at the umpire for long enough.

Shaun Marsh gone so now it falls on to Wade and Starc to build a good lead.
