It's behind their paywall. Any details on years and coin?

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Why? Is that some sort of special day where you can't announce things ?

He was trying to work out why Clarkson announced it on Saturday night not knowing it was the Hawks B&F and the best time to announce it.

Clarko mentioned it at the Hawks B&F so we were forced to acknowledge it.

Id suspect we'd discussed it with them and been happy for them to announce it at their B&F - as they wanted to acknowledge his contribution

The papers are indicating that Henderson to the Cats is done deal with a first round pick from next season being agreed to.

Curtly Hampton to the Crows for next season 2nd round pick

Jeremy Howe has a few clubs including Fremantle interested in him

All these 'next years picks' feels to me like having an ATM right next to a poker machine.

The AFL and the PA added this option to get more deals done which will work for a while especially with so many players wanting to break contracts.
I wonder how much longer will it be before they decide future picks can be for more than just the next season?

Currently I think you can only use one pick from the next season so I can see that potentially changing as well.

I can see more players each year being traded around and I'm not sure it does much for the game except jack up player contracts and take loyalty away from the game.

I just see so much danger in it with so many variables, just from the club's perspective. Agree also with your last point.

Geelong aren't close to a premiership and I don't believe adding those 4 players will get them a premiership.

Going to have real depth problems in 4 years.

Agree, they are going to be in for a hell of a lot of hurt if they don't win one with these guys that they're bringing in.

For a team that's lauded for its drafting they have hardly turned up any good young players for almost a decade, and now it seems they've given up completely on trying to draft a good team.

If they get stuck in the middle of the ladder for the next few years they're going to be at the bottom for a long long time after that.
