Thought Dale was ok? Weird one.

OK, I might be going early but I reckon our conditioning staff might have some serious questions to answer. Soft tissue injuries have hit hard and early. Treloar and JJ have history but my concerns are others such as Jones, Richards, Dale and reportedly West have all had issues this pre-season that were not present prior to this year. I'm assuming a different type of running program initiated has impacted and not for the better.Comment

It is likely an increased focus on speed/power; however, with the player's time off, shorter turnarounds and the need for as much match sim as possible to keep up with the competition and be ready for round 1, it is hard also to change conditioning focus.👍 2Comment

Holy shit now we’re really cooked, that’s an absolute disaster to be honest.
ah well pressures sort of off now, anything in the first 2 months of the season is a bonus really. Good opportunity for some kids to have a crack and make a name for themselves and whatever happens happens I guess, if we’re somehow sitting ok for a decent crack at the 2nd half the season then great but it’s basically a transition year now to be honest.
it’s also where Bevo does his best work so who knowsComment

Both AA midfielders from last year out for 6+ weeks. You can't make this stuff up.
On top of that we have Dale and Richards battling soft tissue injuries. JJ hammy. Jones Hammy.Comment

Disastrous, i'm sorry but our fitness staff have clearly gotten it wrong with all of these soft tissue injuries this pre-season. The Bont is an absolute iron man and rarely has these issues, can't even make it 5 minutes into a pre-season game...Comment

That's a terrible injury. Nevermind the next 6 weeks, this could continue to impact long term.. Far out.Comment

Bont has played 95 of the last 96 games. After his debut season he has played 20+ games ever season except two. They were 18 and 19 games. He has been incredibly durable.
The change in running this preseason looks like it has taken a toll on the older players? Maybe?👍 1Comment
