Read this in the Age.Was from last year:

And clubs believe that the AFL is seriously looking at adopting a proposal – put forward by West Coast, with the backing of Fremantle and the SA clubs – to have the Next Generation Academy’s Indigenous and multicultural players available to all clubs in the first 25 or 30 positions in the national draft in a trade-off for the WA and SA teams gaining access to their entire states.

IF AFL house change the rules on this, the Club and supporters need to declare WAR

Kellett named in the draft central team of the week again. 4th time to do it in just 7 games.
Kellett named second best on ground for Western today. Named in the bests in almost every game this year. But not in the Metro squad. I wonder how serious his chances are, and how serious any/all clubs are taking his form line?

After today, make that 12 goals in his last 3 NABL games as a bottom age tall forward.

God willing (AFEL review), at the end of next year we will once again have 3 exciting tall forwards taken in the top 9 again.

Surely we get to keep him.

Moving forward what is the code word to refer to him by so the hype is minimal with google searches and stuff?

Any changes should be a future thing, not when a team has already nurtured a kid so some other club can take them.

I can feel it in my bones that we will be screwed once again.

Same. My brother is all aboard the Jamarra hype train, sending me his stats each weekend. Feel sorry for him, he’s setting himself up for a crushing disappointment .

I won’t get excited until the AFL confirms he is ours which I expect won’t happen.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

                          Re: Father/Son Watch

From what I hear, those worrying about us losing rights over Jamarra are jumping at shadows at this point.

I'm not saying that it can't change. But it would be quite extreme for the AFL to back away from what they have set up on 2.5 years ago, and after only 1 draft with NGA qualified players.

Clayton Oliver wasn't selected for the champs and was taken at pick 4.

If he's good enough we can rookie him. Seems to be completely under the radar.

I was thinking that Richards went first round after missing the champs too. I wonder if he's only off the public radar with good performances this year. If we cut deeply, it'd be nice to have a late pick option.
