There are players worth pursuing (Bruest/Gunston), but Im not sure we have the assets or want to sacrifice 2022 draft assets to get them

I just don't think there's anyone out there worth pursuing. It's a dud trade period for sure.

Happy with Darcy and Marra in two years though, we are very lucky.

There will be a few drop late in the day so that we have something for the Foxtel show but I suspect the deals have been done now but there is a pause before the media and fans get advised.

I wonder if there will be some experienced players address after the draft.

Ceglar and a future fourth rounder being traded to Geelong for just a future third rounder (linked to Brisbane). Hawthorn paying a large chunk of his salary.

All other list issues aside if him playing means that they can use Blicavs elsewhere (he is fantastic in a number of positions) and didn't have to go into multiple games with Ratugolea as their first choice ruck then yes I think he makes them better. Rhys Stanley is out of favour there as well so he fixes a dilemna they have had for a while. I still expect them to drop off further but getting in a ruck they want is a positive move not a negative one.

Don’t agree with this. Yeah it would be nice to have another decent option but nothing that was presented makes us any better. Why bother chasing an average ruckman that won’t bolster our list. May as well work with what we have and channel our improvements to our current list (both ruck work and centre bounce setups).

I'm not worried about Geelong but Ceglar is 5 years younger than Martin and he gave us a bath in round 22 in a bad loss to a lowly team.

I know he wanted to go to Geelong but we should have been making it worthwhile for him to come to us over them.

I think Sam Power should be feeling the heat as well. Four years and counting.........three if you want to be generous and consider we had Tom Boyd as cover in 2018-2019.

But he's 30? I just can't see the logic even though what you've said is well thought out.
