Re: Dogs Keen on Jack Martin in Mini Draft

Speaking of sweeteners Emma Quayle has reported we may be giving away picks 5 and 6 for Martin, Jed Andersen and pick 9.
One of the posters on here tabled a similar offer and may be right on the money.

That seems like a very generous proposal so I hope Emma is right on the money.
I know Bulldogsman mentioned something like a month or so ago so it would be a good deal.

Generous to us? Well, we are long overdue for a change of luck.
GWs get 2 picks so they position themselves strongly and the tigers get their man in an already pretty good midfield.

Yes, that is what I'm saying. Anderson is an athletic and exciting player who really applies some defensive pressure. Pick 9 won't compromise us to much and landing Martin who would likely be the number one pick the following year all seem to be a positive to me.

That would have to be the best possible outcome for us. Very happy if it happens.

If that's on the money and GWS are willing we need to jump on this deal IMO.

Does it matter that we don't get a kpp fwd in Hogan? He is supposed to be one of the better Fwds going around.
If this deal occurs, we could get Stringer or a Menzel may slip down this far due to his knee.

Nice article on Martin by Quayle.

You would take that and absolutely run for your life.

Martin and Anderson alone would be fantastic, but throwing in pick 9?

                      Doesn't sound very even.

Quite frankly, no it doesn't. Martin is an extraordinary talent.

Here you are saying Pick 5 + Sherman or Grant is the same as pick 5 + nothing.

I don't rate Sherman at all but some posters on here do.
They say he is an outside runner played out of position.
Maybe GWS think the same. Maybe.

And Jarrad Grant, despite his faults is certainly worth a lot more than nothing.

No. I just explained you into a corner you can't get out of.
So now it's 'not worth going over'.
