Thanks for that. Interesting to see what GC do about Viney, and obviously Hunter.
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

Let's say GC do get MD1. Do we still go hard for MD2 and Hogan?

I'm not sure about throwing both 1st rounders at getting MD2.

Not saying that we should table the exact same offer...but should/would we still go for him?

IMO, yes we should. But I get the feeling that GWS will still want quite a bit for MD2, and fair enough given the supposed quality of both Martin and Hogan.

I think Martin is a class above and Clayton seems to love those skinny, quick kids (although not as much with GC). But Toumpas is one of the safest bets in the draft. Quality person and trainer apparently. Nice size already and should play from round 1.

So if we were able to secure Martin, is it best to bring him over here straight away and have him play with Williamstown next year in the VFL or stay back in WA next year.

Normally I would say to bring him over but I am a little worried that if we can only have 12 players in the Williamstown seniors next year, he might not get as much playing time as he would with a full WAFL season.

The obvious benefit is having him train with us next year, getting him settled into Melbourne and things like this.

                  It's an interesting point.

Would Williamstown view him as a Bulldogs listed player? Maybe not given he can't play seniors and isn't actually on our list (he's a pre-listed player).

Maybe we'll bring him over for a couple of stints with trips home in between.

Pretty sure Jack Viney was a Casey-listed player this year for VFL calculations. They needed permission for him to play there, so I assume the same process would apply to us.

                      Likewise.

It's good to be able sit back and read everyone's views on the quality of each prospect. People clearly put a bit of work in to it and I'm grateful for that.

I thought that might've been the case. I guess it just depends how much Williamstown wants to work with the club given the impending split.

Martin would be ahead of a few guys like Tutt and Greenwood for a spot in Willi, I reckon.

I'm thinking that Willi wouldn't mind a kid of Martin's quality running around for them.

Yeah, Martin hasn't played a game of senior football at AFL level yet. Tutt has, and in some cases quite well.

If Tutt gets his body right (assuming he doesn't get traded out) he'll be a factor next year, for sure.

If we get Martin, we should probably just let him develop as the kid he is.

Looks like Tyson is staying put(and pick 9 staying at Punt Rd), according to this anyway(Denham I know)

So I guess only one of our picks would be on the table for Martin.

I expect Melbourne to use pick 4 for Hogan.
                                The curse is dead.
