Giving up pick 21 is giving up the opportunity to draft a Fyfe or a Reid or a Beams in favour of a slow, immobile 40 goal a year key forward.
If we do take Dawes and he turns into a 60-70 goal gun forward who drives us up the ladder, I'm more than happy for anyone to laugh on my face. I feel pretty safe.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.
That would be a very interesting choice from the Demons. Personally, I would lean towards that being a loss for them, but maybe they don't rate whoever they're going to get at #4?
I don't know if there is much in it, but it is being discussed at crazy Vossy's end.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.
Sorry about my earlier post, seems it was speculation not fact. What I do know for sure is Collingwood are happy to move Dawes on, at the right price. 3 clubs interested, ourselves, Melbourne & Carlton are now interested.
I don't mind Dawes, just don't think he's worth pick 21.

If its pick 47 or even a pick in the 30's ( I know we dont have one)I'm okay.
But if we effectively shipped Lake out to move up 6 places in the draft, to then give to Collingwood for Dawes then I'm going to lose all faith in our club.
Surely this will not come to pass, we are not that stupid.
