Is it true he started the year playing in the two's?

Interesting he wasn't named in the best's purely looking from the stats sheet.

To anyone who saw the game, any idea why he wouldn't be there?

According to the same info source that mjp provided - yes.

It wouldn't speak highly for his ability to overcome set back though either. Surely if you're that determined to become an AFL footballer you would give this season 100% and prove to everyone they made a mistake and demand drafting.

Just going by the stats and the best players list he didn't do much in his 2 reserves games, kicked a couple of goals in 2 of his first 3 senior games but didn't get much of the footy, but his last game looks to have been good. A bit surprising he wasn't named in the best players though.

Pretty good stats for an 18 year old, and kicked a couple as well.

I was there. He was the best player on the ground in the second half....add 20 running bounces to the other numbers.

We should have drafted him instead of Goodes. Goodes has been good, but is a short term prospect.

Would you have drafted him ahead of Stringer, Macrae or Hrovat or is just the rookie list spot where you would have taken him?

There is only one reason he didn't get drafted and we all know why.
Obviously talent wise he should be on an AFL list .

Probably Rookie, or even the last spot which ended up with Goodes.

He was born in January 1994, he is a kid. Even 20 year olds are found drunk at 3am with pills in their pocket, and they can change their ways. Anyway, all in the past as as you say, he can still be drafted if he matures a bit and curbs his social activities.

Would Marlon Motlop be a strong chance to be re- drafted?

You have to want to change.

No disputing his talent, but you need more than that.
