For me on what I've read I'd take Lever at pick 6
The info I got was from boundforglory news. In his latest draft, today, he has us getting Peter Wright at pick 6 while Lever goes to GWS at pick 4.

Not sure how accurate he has been in the past.

Zaine is a reasonable prospect but top 24 in the draft? He would be lucky to be top 25 in the state of Victoria. I am glad we got him but the fact there were no bids before the 50's kind of shows where he is at.

Lever is a good player but top 10 coming off an ACL? Doesn't one ACL surgery mean that you are something like 60% more likely to do it again? I honestly don't see how this would be a smart selection in any way...Good luck to the kid but 12-months out of footy because of an ACL doesn't make you a better player.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

        So who would you take?

Just going through the list if we miss Wright and the other big forwards early is Reece McKenzie worth the punt.
Has anyone seen him play or know much about him ?

I'm not expecting him to be so high that he demands selection over 'best available' selection. Come pick 25 he's around the mark at my best guess. I watched him up here closely before the end of the season, he's tall and forward, but I saw nothing exceptionally special. He kicked a few, but it was a god awful game. By pick 25 it must be best available. Although personally I'm over slow one paced average kicking mids.

I've seen him play a couple of times and he's not a bad prospect.
He measured in at the combine at 197cm tall and weighed in at 107kg. He has big bucket hands and a good leap,
His sprinting was excellent for his size and tested in the top 5%.

                  Plenty of upside

A lot of people are quick to talk down his prospects, but if he's that big and has a good leap, good hands and is quick - surely he goes top 30?

107kg and top 5% sprints? I wouldn't have guessed either. Bloody hell.

Needs to work on his endurance but he is quick off the mark. His 20mtr times were right up there in fact the American guy who ran 2.81 I think was the only one to beat his best time. Oleg Markov (Pole vaulter Dimitri's son) tied with him and he comes from an athletics back ground.

Decent agility too for such a big guy.

Good base to work with. You would have to think he could benefit from being in the senior environment. Saw him on TV a few weeks ago with his father Warren. He's got a bit of character as well.

Didn't cheesey do well in the sprints too once upon a time?

He might to trim down though, I knew he was a large lad but 107kg seems too heavy from my naive biomechanics understanding. I think he's around the mark at 25 of so, but if some quality mids are still there I think it's best available. Dalrymple is knocking out of the park first round picks, with two or three second rounders at his stage we need to nail them all. If one believes the last rumour three picks in a row adds for some serious attention to that round, probably more of my interest going ahead truth be told.

Nah Cheesey was slow, but he could run like a Kenyan!

He beat Daniel Cross in a 2km time trial by 10 seconds after stopping to tie up his shoelace. Another time in a beep test Cross almost collapsed such was his determination to win, after he dropped out Cheesey ran another handful of shuttles before they told him to wrap it up!
