    2014 draft watch

really only starting this thread as i started last years thread and it lasted 12 months

From Glenelg in 12 months time could easily have 3 or 4 get drafted (but no first rounders)

Billy Stretch strong chance of F/S to Melbourne. Very athletic, extremely skilful, AIS Academy but still needs a lot of filling out. Father Steven was (and still is) a stick and was injured a lot

Cory Gregson, had a bad run with stress fractures this year, but would have played league if it wasn't for private school clashes. Extremely fast and accurate small forward

Alex Neal-Bullen Hard at it on baller, state under 16 captain but was pretty much injured for 18 months. I love watching him crash the packs.

Nice one. The two SA's that interest me are Watchman and Durdin. How would you rate Watchman vs Harvey as a forward prospect T&T? Do you see Durdin as a forward or a back?

Nice one T&T, as you said last year - never to early.

I'll start with a random being Peter Bampton. Hard inside mid, played a bit of seniors this year at Norwood. Was in the the SA state squad. Mans body. Probably mid'ish 2nd rd at this early stage.

Did you or any other SA'ers end up seeing him live much?

Clem Smith, Goddard and McCartin are 3 I'll be watching closely.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

If Christian Petracca grows another inch or so he'll be up there also.

Clem Smith is a gem. Also little Pickett from WA.

I'm not 100% sure how many 18's games i'll get to in SA next year, depends how the draw works out with the new Crows reserves being in (so there's 10 league teams and 9 reserves team). But more than happy to look and watch any players that i can if i can.

Petracca starred in the TAC Cup GF, looked a class above as a bottom ager. He's a tweener at the moment but if he can get up near KPF size, he'll go early.

I haven't paid much attention to the U18's in the last few years, but I plan to take a much closer look in 2014.

Just to throw a curve ball into next years draft we have Jayden Foster (carried over), Josh Wallis and Zaine Cordy all eligible Father Sons as far as I can work out.
