Yeah this makes sense.

We can still have another bye round later in the season if the players really need it. The Grand Final this year is 25 September which is quite early for recent times. No reason we can't have a 2nd October Grand Final.

There’s a bye after 22 games. So ten games to now. 12 games to they bye. Pretty much perfect.

As Mof says, it will give Timmy and a few others the chance to get into the team for a vital game. Not the worst outcome.

Not the worst at all. Although I'm not exactly a fan of vs Freo in Perth, then vs Cats in Geelong followed by vs West Coast in Perth again. That is absolutely brutal. I feel things needs a bit of a shuffle there.

Maybe all of these games get played with no crowds, or even at neutral venues. Maybe this is actually incredible timing for us?

Given they're all out of Melbourne I doubt it.

Actually I can see our Eagles and Cats games getting swapped so we end up staying in Perth for 2 weeks to play the dockers and eagles back to back.

The only thing that would make me feel better is if we win at Marvel tomorrow night, then play all of Freo, West Coast and Geelong at neutral venues throughout NSW/QLD before returning to Victoria to resume the season.

I’ll take that. If it’s only 7 days, either a full bye round or re stagger the byes a bit earlier. Let’s not jump too far ahead unless the presser at 11 gives context that’s worse than the numbers.

When they said they wanted to see something positive come from the North v Essendon game, I'm not sure this is what they meant.

I'll be honest, I thought this was some of my best work and I'm disappointed that it looks set to die alone.
