Yeah it's a bit of a culture within the VIC government/ departmental landscape to act like parents who don't really know how to communicate issues effectively.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

            Just two cases

Hopefully the season gets back on track.

              Both linked to existing cases.

Bring back VFL footy this weekend!

I think even if Vic Govt allows it (I believe they will), the AFL wouldn’t.

I see players being in 14 day quarantine due to be close contacts as easily the biggest threat to the season at the moment (NSW are pretty open with their borders). I think we see some all AFL listed reserve games like in the hub.

They can't just keep VFL on hold because of the risk of AFL players being put into quarantine.

As long as strict pre match testing is in place, and maybe even no crowds (which sucks but better than no footy), VFL should proceed.

Yep, I hear you but AFL are always going to be stricter. It’s not as simple as coming out of lockdown as there’s a fine line between lockdown and heavy restrictions. I cannot see VFL returning while we are still having cases, loads of exposure sites and active cases. At least two of those need to come down for the AFL to tick of off i think. Might just mean weekend after.

Community football won't be coming back for a while I wouldn't think, and that's likely what VFL will be considered.

We'll hopefully have some combined side type games over the coming weeks which will hopefully be sufficient.

If all the players are isolating and training anyway I don’t see why we can’t have closed door practice matches.

eg: I went on a 5 day break at the RACV Cape Schanck resort early in May. When we had to enter the restaurant at breakfast or anytime, we had to check in with QR code. On the last two days there were two conferences happening. My wife and I noted the conference people, in large groups, just strolled in, didn't check in, and just sat down in their allocated area. We complained to the staff, but they just said they were overwhelmed with the numbers.

Unless businesses put in security guards at every venue and staff are vigilant, you will get non conformist.
It was 1986 and I'd just met a new girl. Her family invited me to the RACV club for lunch. Just as we were being served our food her dad excused himself and when he got back to the table he was wringing wet. New girl said "what happened to you dad?" and he said "oh I got the showers and the toilet mixed up and when I pressed what I thought was the flusher I got soaked in water" I knew then that these were my people.

It's got bugger all to do with the topic but it's a funny story.

I had AZ about 3 weeks ago on a Wednesday and I was fine until about midnight that night. I was watching Rate my Takeaway on the YouTube app with my son when a wave of nausea hit me. I was still too ill to go to work on the Saturday but came good all of a sudden the next day.

Had my flu shot yesterday and I am feeling exactly the same today. Woke up about 4am feeling sick.

Yep. A couple of concerns for AFL that go above the actual Vic Govt position:
1/ Risk of being close contact to someone away from AFL system
2/ Needing exemptions to enter other states. It will be particularly tough to enter WA whilst there are so many exposure sites, active cases and any new cases over 2 weeks. Think the players will have to be in lockdown themselves until this changes for the season to go ahead without hubs.
