Re: What song always puts you in a good mood?
This was always a nine in the morning bender tune in my late twenties, early thirties. When your ears aren't working properly and you just need to turn it up that little bit more......
Given how amazing their catalogue is, it's surprising they didn't take things further. However, I did hear one of their issues or their main issue was Davies struggled with live gigs. Can any of the older farts around here like YHF and TD confirm this?TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.😎 1Comment

Re: What song always puts you in a good mood?
From another thread talking about Kurt/ Nirvana, and bands or tours that were regrettably missed - mine's Pearl Jam. I loved them (everything prior to No Code) but never got around to it.
This tune doesn't put me in a great mood, but it's sentimental, and instrumentally it's pretty cool. Ed finishes it off well with some good vocals that people read too much into. It's got everything for its time.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

Re: What song always puts you in a good mood?
Ace Frehley was the absolute diamond in the rough, the George Harrison of Kiss. His pop sensibility was off the charts, and IMO was under-utilised as a brilliant song-writer in his own right during his time with the band. His 3 songs off 'Unmasked' are all total ear candy and pure pop perfection. I get it's not his band, it is Paul and Gene running the show. I just love the Ace tracks.
I'm also a sucker for meaningless drum fills, and 'Talk to Me' (and 'Shandi' off the same album) have some of the most gloriously ridiculous and completely unnecessary drum fills. So does 'Two Sides of the Coin', another top shelf Ace gem from Unmasked."Look at me mate. Look at me. I'm flyin'"Comment
