Started watching The English on Prime last week. I love it so far. I'm a sucker for a quality Western and this one hits the mark.
Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer are compelling.

What are you favourite Westerns?

Movie wise I loved Unforgiven and Dead Man. The Sister's brothers was both a great book and a good movie.

I enjoyed Hell on Wheels and many years ago the Lonesome Dove/Streets of Laredo series were enjoyable too.

Just finished watching The Last Days Of Ptolemy Grey with Samuel L Jackson. Heart wrenching story about a old man with dementia given a chance to get all his memories back to help find out who killed a family member. Just 6 episodes but Jackson is brilliant.

Are you talking the film? Many potted it, but I really liked it - amazing ending.

I found it to be pretty meandering but that ending is unreal. Might be one to revisit.

There's a seven part series on Netflix called "Godless" that I really liked and I'm not really into Westerns.

I'd be interested to hear if people who are think it's good.

Are you talking the film? Many potted it, but I really liked it - amazing ending.

I loved it. Eastwood and Hackman's characters in particular I thought were standouts.

I don't recall it being panned. I thought it won several oscars as well? Even today on Rotten Tomatoes it gets a 96%?

Inside look at Test team. The Test 2 - on Prime released January 13th. I enjoyed the first doco and this one looks pretty good as well.
