At the start of the season, our list was : Contracted Players = 42 (35 Primary List, 6 Category A Rookies, 1 Category B Rookie)

Which means we have room on primary list and can just delist rookies.

Actually it was 43 total for this season - what you have copied from that mysterious thread was a current figure (pre Lipinski trade) which was - Jong and Young, + O'Brien.

We went with the full complement of rookies in 2021 - 6 category A. We can go with only 4 or 5 if we want and increase our primary listed players from 36 to 37 or 38.

Ignoring any other rookie list movements we could delist Cavarra and Hayes and draft 4 players to the primary list at present. Or say promote Sweet and still draft 3.

He doesn't want to ruck and doesn't kick enough goals as a forward.
Looks like a decent player but needs really good ones around him but in no way is he worth 700K a season.

Channel 9 reporting that GWS (Jason McCartney) doesn't want to deal with Essendon due to bad blood from the Cadwell trade last year. They are open to dealing other Victorian clubs for Bobby Hill.

Then he should talk to Chris Grant whom he has a great relationship with.

Hill & Flynn/Briggs for a Future First Rounder. Plus any live trading re Darcy, say Pick 52 goes to them for a Future Fourth Rounder.

A small natural forward, a ruckman and TOB helping defence. While getting Darcy without deficit. OK returnS on Lippa & Young. We’d walk away satisfied. Not the biggest names this draft period, but the right types of players to improve the list. Gotta dream…
