Re: 2022 Draft Watch
Ok after the second half I'll refine ze list.I've watched the first half - didn't notice him at all.
I've made a list of what I have seen though ranked by where I think I'd pick them :
1. Hewitt WA wow looks ready made a real talent - clearly the best player out there if Ashcroft is #1 this guy is number -5.
2. Darcy Jones WA quick and incredibly skillful, has a fair sidestep
3. Sheezel VICM done nothing since the first 5 mins but you can tell he's going to be very good
4. Mckenzie VICM I think he's a Saints NGA, ahhh bad luck hes not going past 15
5. Steely Greene WA really composed balanced and skillful type that appears a natural footballer
6. Jefferson VICM Tall forward looks very likely. Nice mark, and very good kick for goal.
1. Hewitt
2. Ashcroft (smooth, clean, skillfull, great positioning and reading of the play bit of a clearance king)
3. Jefferson
4. Jones
5. Sheezel
6. Mackenzie
@MJP I actually saw what others see in Busslinger in parts there. Was quiet but does look a likely type.
I'm going to have to watch all the games now, what have I done.BT COME BACK!

Re: 2022 Draft Watch
I highly doubt Mackenzie makes it to 11, but I wouldn't be upset if he did. He's a quality talent and another that could come in and play role while he learns from our midfield group.Comment

Re: 2022 Draft Watch
He's a good player no doubt and should be gone before our pick but if you were the Saints who would you pick out of Humphrey, Phillipou or Mackenzie at 9 (moving to 10) if they were all available?
The Saints have had a good look at Mackenzie for a couple of years.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

Re: 2022 Draft Watch
Again I'm a nuffie who has only seen highlights but he did seem to break forward of congestion with ball in hand a few times.
I suspect clubs rate that highly.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

Re: 2022 Draft Watch
Nick Watson is the type of forward we need. Look at this clip as a small sample. He reads the play before his opponent, burns him off to put himself in position for the crumbs, then like a predator he sees the opportunity and goes in for the kill. It's fantastic football. We don't have this currently. That is the problem with shoehorning midfielders into forward line roles. They lack that goal instinct that a player like Watson has. It's a player like this in a moment like this that can win you games.
