His Facebook page says we are going to announce the Dawes deal tonight. Let's see if he's right.

1st round, but will be based on next year

The Cats will send their compensation pick (received for losing Gary Ablett) to Gold Coast, and the clubs will also exchange a number of other draft picks that are still to be finalised. The paperwork will not be lodged with the AFL until later in the trade period, but Caddy will definitely line up for the Cats in 2013.
