Re: What are you watching at the moment
Second last episode of the season released last week and finally Foundation S2 delivers.
Annoyed with the amount of set up/ filler but if they bring it home with a good S2 finale I'll probably be OK with it.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
The netflix One Piece adaptation is pretty good.
I've been watching my first Gundam, The Witch from Mercury. It's independent from any other Gundam so it's easy to jump in without having to know about any other series and it's really good. Takes a little while to ramp up but I'm at a point now where I feel like I 'get' Gundam.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
I watched the first episode and I didn't mind it, but it didn't rock my world.
When you finish that try Kin which is also on SBS. I really enjoyed that one. Based in Ireland focusing on a family who are in the drug trade.More of an In Bruges guy?Comment

Kin is excellent and can't wait for season 2. Not sure why SBS hasn't started it.FFC: Established 1883

Re: What are you watching at the moment
Anyone following re runs of Endeavour on Ch 7 might have noticed that after the Pilot and ep 1 of Series 1 , Ch 7 jumped forward to Series 2 episodes 8 & 9. Tonight, it's episode 10 from Series 3, Ride. It has obviously borrowed a lot from the F Scott Fitzgerald American classic The Great Gatsby, similar plot and worth the watch for that alone. I'm reminded of an episode in Wagon Train all those years ago which did the same with the plot of the Charles Dickens classic Great Expectations.
Alerted by GVGjr I binge watched Blue Light over the weekend and the first episode of The Fall, on SBS On Demand. Police shows set in Northern Ireland, a bit out of the ordinary with the violence of the Troubles lurking. Terrific viewing.Last edited by D Mitchell; 11-09-2023, 12:58 PM.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
I sort of get what you're saying re- episode 1 but for me it's the best show in years - genuine 'adventure' vs another police/crime based drama. What should I tell her? She's going to ask.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
I'm 5-episodes in and just watched them 'break in' to the Italian camp with Winston Churchill's son along for the ride...whilst the French paratroopers who had joined them built 30-foot high towers to practice jumping out of...they still have no planes and no parachutes despite the 'special air service' moniker.

Interestingly Churchill's son really did go on a mission with the SAS, although it didn't play out the way it did in the show.Comment
